Agwu is an early pilot, and this page explains — in plain language — how we handle your information. It's not meant to be legal boilerplate; it's meant to be something you can actually read.
This is a pilot
Agwu is early-stage software that we're actively building and testing with real patients and specialists. Please don't rely on it for medical advice, diagnosis, or emergency care — if you're having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest ER. Agwu is a tool to help you organize your care journey and connect with the right specialist, not a replacement for your doctor.
What we collect
Depending on whether you're a patient or a specialist, that's:
- Basic intake info (age range, symptoms, how long you've had them, prior diagnoses)
- Symptom logs you record over time
- Documents you choose to upload
- The AI-generated clinical summary built from the above
- For specialists: your name, specialty, credentials, bio, and location
Why we collect it
Only to build and run the product for you: to help you track your care journey, to generate a clinical summary a specialist can quickly review, and to match you with the specialist best suited to where you are right now.
How we protect it
Sensitive health fields (your symptoms, prior diagnoses, and clinical summary) are encrypted in our database, so even direct database access doesn't expose them in plain text. All traffic to and from Agwu is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to the underlying data is limited to the small team building Agwu.
What we don't do
We will never sell your data. We don't use it for advertising, and we don't share it with anyone beyond the specialists you're matched with — and even then, only what they need to review your case.
Your control over your data
You can ask us to delete everything you've shared with us, at any time, for any reason — no questions asked. Just reach out to us directly and we'll take care of it.
